Do you want to help shape the Sport for Development approach in Germany? Then become part of our network! Here you can find out who can become a member, what types of membership we offer, and how the application process works.
Who can become a member?
In principle, any legal entity or natural person who supports our goals can become a member.
There are two forms of membership:
Ordinary membership
For whom?
Organizations (e.g. clubs, universities, NGOs, social enterprises) that have made Sport for Development one of their priorities and are active in German-speaking countries.
Right:
Ordinary members have full say – they can vote at general meetings and elect the board.
Fördermitgliedschaft
For whom?
Einzelpersonen sowie Organisationen, die unsere Arbeit unterstützen möchten, ohne selbst S4D-Schwerpunktorganisation zu sein.
Right:
Fördermitglieder dürfen sich aktiv einbringen, haben aber kein Stimmrecht bei Wahlen oder Abstimmungen in der Mitgliederversammlung.

How much does membership cost?
The annual contributions are staggered and based on solidarity:
Ordinary members
Organizations with an annual budget of > €100,000:
from 300€ per year
Organizations with ≤ 100,000€ annual budget:
from 100€ per year
Supporting members
Private individuals:
from 100€ per year
Companies/Foundations:
from 500€ per year
The contribution is due on March 1st of each year.
In justified cases, an application for a suspension of membership fees may be submitted to the Board of Directors.
How do we handle your data?
The protection of your data is important to us. Your personal data will be used exclusively to process your membership and for club activities.
Your data will not be passed on, except for membership processing or public relations work with your consent.
You have the right to information, correction, deletion or objection to data processing at any time.
